Sri Lanka gamers comply with England tour regardless of contract row: Reports | Cricket News

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka’s gamers have agreed to tour England this month despite the fact that a contract dispute with their cricket board stays unresolved, native media reported on Tuesday.
The gamers, together with Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne and ODI skipper Kusal Perera, had refused to signal new contracts which supply decrease base salaries and extra performance-based incentives.
Some of the gamers felt the contracts had been “non clear”, Sri Lankan media stated.
“They will play this tour with out signing any contract,” gamers’ consultant Nishan Premathiratne advised the ESPNcricinfo web site.
“They have signed a voluntary declaration, however there’s nothing there about participant remuneration. They have at all times been dedicated to taking part in for Sri Lanka.”
Sri Lanka Cricket didn’t instantly reply to request for remark.
Sri Lanka will play three one-dayers and three Twenty20 Internationals in England. The limited-overs tour begins on June 23.
